HOW TO MAKE YOUR MYPHONE TS1 DUO BE RECOGNIZED IN THE ANDROID MARKET
Hi, I just want to make this article to help all other Pinoys out there with their Cool MyPhone TS1 Duo to be able to utilize the android market.
I bought mine for P3,999.00 firt week of February 2012. And I was so excited to tinker or add the applications that I been wanting to use if ever i'll upgrade to a new fully featured phone.
The first time I took it home, I was busy installing other apps, but I can't find the market application on it. On my computer, I went to https://market.android.com and tried to register an account and then tried tried to download some applications, but to my dismay, I can't install any application from the market. On my account it says I don't have a registered phone with it. So using my "Myphone" open up the browser and went to the exact site for android market, but still i got the same message "no phone or device registered".
So I said fine, if I can't download anything on the market then since it is an android phone, I thought, search the web for other options on installing apps. And I did find several ways, and found out that the aptoide app or "market" that was built-in in myphone was the way i can get some apps to install in my Myphone. Still some what frustrated, I played with it, and was able to install some apps. I wanted to link my google accounts to it so i can synchronize my contacts and docs, and calendar. Along the way I installed an app that restarted my phone and after that the market was included in the update... But I'm not really sure how I did it because of so many things I did already.
Anyway there it was the market was installed, and I was enjoying the downloading and installing apps, now my phone was listed in my market account...
I showed myphone to my boss and brag about it's features, and he wanted also to buy one for him, so the next day he bought, and wanted me to install apps just like what i used. But boy!, I had almost a headache for 2 days trying to find out how to install the market! I've tried serveral options, seached google many times, installed the market, but everytime I open it, there's a runtime error, and it would stop and wont work....
So what I did for his phone was install apps using other markets like 1mobilemarket, allmarket amazon market.. but still some apps that I installed on mine wont run on my boss' phone.
But finally Monday morning at work, still tinkering after installing the apps that I sure he'll be happy, I was comparing what apps are on mine that were not on his, and there I discovered it... and immediately I write this article so I wont forget it!!!
Now too much for the intro, here's what you do if you bought a "MyPhone TS1 Duo" to make it market enabled to enjoy all the apps officially from android market.
THE STEPS
step 1. of course you need internet for your phone so connect to your wifi connection at home or office.
Step 2. Open aptoide, update the repositories.
Step 3. Search for Google Apps
Step 4. Download and install google apps, this will restart your phone for update, and after a it reboots, there you have the market!
Step 5. Open the market, register for an account or use existing google account.
Step 6, on your android market account you might want to change the name of the phone, because it will say "Unknown"
then finally, enjoy downloading thousands of free apps on the market!
Update: images uploaded:
1. Find The Aptoide in your existing apps
2. The image above shows the Aptoide splash screen
3. at first this list would be zeros, (i already update mine)
4. Tap the menu button on your phone to bring up this menu and tap "List Update"
5. This confirmation will pop-up
6. This this will be next...
7. and then you'll have applications number on categories, tap "Others"
8. This Category should have google apps, (as you can see below it is myphone ts1, I did not try that but you can try)
9. And Finally Install the Google apps after downloading, this will require reboot, don't panic...
